Before you start
You only need a NexusDock account and at least one connected device if you want ChatGPT to operate a computer or phone.
Connect ChatGPT
Open the ChatGPT Plugins page, click Add in the top-right corner, then choose Create custom MCP server.
Use NexusDock as the plugin name and enter https://mcp.nexusdock.co/mcp as the MCP Server URL. Then create the connection.
ChatGPT opens the NexusDock authorization page. Sign in with your NexusDock account and approve access.
Confirm the NexusDock plugin is connected, then start a new conversation to complete the verification below.
Verify the connection with a real call
Use NexusDock to list my connected devices and tell me which ones are online.
Devices
Let ChatGPT work with files, commands, browsers and other capabilities on the devices you have connected.
Recall
Keep useful project facts and long-term context available across future conversations.
Workflow
Reuse proven multi-step workflows instead of rebuilding the same process in every conversation.
Skills & tools
Use the Skills, plugins and dynamic MCP capabilities exposed by each connected AgentDock runtime.
Common problems
ChatGPT does not open the authorization page
Check that the MCP Server URL is exactly https://mcp.nexusdock.co/mcp. Remove the connection and create it again if the old URL is still cached.
The plugin is connected, but new tools are missing
Refresh the NexusDock plugin or MCP connection, then start a new ChatGPT conversation. Existing conversations can keep an older tool schema.
ChatGPT can connect, but no device is available
Open NexusDock Devices and confirm that AgentDock is paired and online. The MCP connection can be healthy even when every device is offline.
What next?
Once ChatGPT is connected, keep the AI-side setup simple. Pair more devices in NexusDock when you need them, then let ChatGPT discover their current capabilities.
